My Childhood Web
My mom(Annie) is the foundation of my life. She always lends a helping hand when I need one. She is very caring and giving. My mom means everything to me. She always goes the extra mile to make sure that the family is taken care of and has everything we need. My mom continues to encourage my sisters and me everyday to do all that we want to do. She always puts other's needs before her own.
My grandmother(Frankie) although she is deceased, continues to have an influence on my life. My grandmother taught me that if you want something that you have to work for it. She taught me that life is what you make of it. She showed me the meaning of unconditional love for a family. She was very wise and passed her wisdom on to the family. She always kept a positive attitude even when things were rough, she always wore a smile. My grandmother always wanted her children and grandchildren have and be more than she was able to do because of her limited education. My grandmother always held education very high in respect. She is one reason that I am continuing my education.
My fourth grade teacher(Ms. Hammock) inspired me to want to become an educator. Ms. Hammock showed her students unconditional love and care. Ms. Hammock was positive and only allowed her students to be positive. Ms. Hammock was more than just a teacher, she was also a friend, a mentor, and a shoulder to lean on. Ms. Hammock took time to make sure her students understood the lessons that she was teaching, making sure to not leave anyone behind.
My 11th grade health teacher (Coach Carter), he was more than a teacher. He was an encourager and motivator. I liked the way that he touched so many lives at once. Coach Carter not only helped us to keep up our physical help but he also helped us work on our mental health. He helped us to know that we are more than just our environment, that we could be more than just athletes and musicians. The community that the school was located in was not the best or ideal but he let us know that we could and should be more than our surroundings. He inspired many people to go to college. He did everything that he could to make sure that everyone that wanted to apply did get a chance to do so. He even spoke directly to enrollment advisors to help some students get into college.
My best friend (Julene), is inspirational. She is a very giving and kind hearted-person. She pushes herself beyond what some may consider limits to make sure that those close to her are happy. She gives all that she can whenever she can. She always helps me whenever I need help. She keeps me going and keeps my spirits up when I am feeling down. She lets me know that I can do anything that I want to do.
