NAEYC Codes

1} To recognize and respect the unique qualities, abilities, and potential of each child.
-This is very important to me because I know that all children are special and deserve all the best. I know that all children are different and special so they should be treated with respect.

2}  To appreciate the vulnerability of children and their dependence on adults.
-This is meaningful to me because I don't think that we as adults always realize how much children depend on us because they do not know how to take care of themselves.

3} To be familiar with the knowledge base of early childhood care and education and to stay informed through continuing education and training.
-This is meaningful because this is a reason that I decided to go back to school. I want to know about all and any new teaching methods that will help me to succeed.

  1. Thanks for this post Tara. I especially like the comments you made on the second point. Young children are so dependant on adults to meet their needs.
